This Privacy Policy describes how FORE ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the FORE mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you register
Apple Sign-In: If you use Apple Sign-In, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's anonymized relay address if you choose to hide your email)
Profile information: Handicap index, home course, profile photos, bio
Match data: Golf round details including course, date, scores, game type, players, and results
Messages: Content of in-app messages sent between users
Payment information: Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage data: Features you use, screens you visit, actions you take within the App
Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version, device identifiers
Log data: IP address, access times, error logs
Location data: We use the Google Places API to help you find and select golf courses. We do not persistently store your precise GPS location.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

RevenueCat: Subscription status and entitlement data
Golf course data: Course names, locations, and hole information
Google Gemini AI: If you use the AI Scorecard Scanner, images of scorecards are processed by Google's Gemini API to extract score data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account
Provide, operate, and improve the App
Process and display match data and statistics
Enable social features such as following other players and messaging
Verify and manage your subscription status
Power AI features (e.g., scorecard scanning) using Google Gemini
Send you notifications related to matches and App activity
Respond to support requests
Detect and prevent fraud and violations of our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3.1 With Other Users

Your profile (name, photo, handicap, home course), match history, and activity are visible to other registered users of the App.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the App, including Supabase (Database), Apple (Authentication), Google (AI & Places), and RevenueCat (Subscriptions).

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and match data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can update your profile, manage notifications, or revoke location permissions at any time through the App or device settings. You may delete your account through Settings → Account → Delete Account.
